OGDEN, UT (September 9, 2025) Farmers Market Ogden will be full of wagging tails, happy families, and new friendships this Saturday, September 13, as Ogden Downtown Alliance hosts the first annual Dogden Festival from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Ogden Municipal Gardens. The festival, held on the final day of the summer market season, celebrates the bond between people and their pets and features a dog parade, dog adoption opportunities, agility course demonstrations, contests with prizes, and free swag, all alongside the market’s weekly offerings of fresh produce, handmade goods, and local artisan products.
More than 250 pups are already signed up for the parade, and the first 200 dogs to check-in will receive a limited-edition Dogden bandana. Alphia, the event’s title sponsor, will be in attendance sharing free pup cups and swag, while the Weber State Downtown Store will feature custom print-on-demand Dogden merchandise for purchase.
The heart of the festival is the chance to give rescue dogs a second chance at finding loving homes. Local rescue groups including Weber County Animal Shelter, Golden Bark Foundation, South Ogden Animal Services, and Herding Haven will be onsite with adoptable dogs looking for forever families. Visitors can connect with these organizations, meet adoptable pets face-to-face, and learn more about how to open their lives to a new best friend.

Registration for the dog parade and contests is free but required. All activities take place in the Municipal Gardens during Farmers Market Ogden, ensuring visitors can enjoy local vendors, food, and community connections white celebrating their dogs in the park.
